Inspirational Man and Story!
The title of this book grabbed my attention. Cancer is something no one wants and several very close to me have suffered from. I wanted to know more about someone who made having cancer into a positive. The Author, David Koop, generously shares his personal stories, pain and triumphs. Those close to us and suffering often don’t want to tell us about their struggles and what we can do to help. David’s stories helped me understand the world of someone with cancer and what I can do to make a difference for them. From reading this book and David’s lessons I was truly inspired and appreciative for my own life and health. If David can make the best of every day, certainly I can!

What a story!
This book made me laugh and made me cry. It tells about some of the good times in this man’s life, the worst times of his life, and his determination to make the most of whatever life has to offer him. His stories are truly entertaining and his absolute love of life and his son is unmistakable. Initially he tells some entertaining stories of his life, and I’m sure there are many more he could tell. The second part is about his very personal, fierce fight with a vicious cancer. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter are a nice way of getting his message across. There is even a chapter in the book written by his new partner in life. The details of his struggle physically, emotionally and personally are both hard to imagine, yet very real. For him to have conquered this cancer, a pulmonary embolism and all the side effects is truly phenomenal and a true testament to the strength of personal convictions. His positive attitude and love of life is an inspiration for those of us who take so much for granted every day.

Inspiring !
Very inspiring life story book. The fact that the author can be so positive and upbeat about life while living with a very painful cancer should teach us all a lesson in living!

A powerful book about a man and his journey through hell and back. A moving and inspiring book on all fronts. An example that we can all better our lives, no matter what the odds. David’s courage and triumph shines through on every page, from his darkest days to his star filled nights. A book that is hard to put down…..

an inspiring story…
Wow…this guys amazing…quite a story. The title grabbed my attention. His writing kept me glued to the book. I enjoyed his stories within his life…many of them made me laugh, a few made me cry. In the end, I’m impressed and inspired by Dave’s ability to push forward.

A heartwarming life story
As with one of the previous reviewers, the title definitely caught my attention. I was able to get a copy of this book from a friend of mine, who also thought that the book was stellar! Once I began reading, I was unable to put it down; the author, David Koop does an amazing job of describing his struggles of battling cancer. His personal stories and themes that everybody could relate to brought us closer to the author as we followed his life’s twists and turns.
The book has taught me to always take a positive attitude on things, even when things are bleak. “Cancer – It’s a Good Thing I Got It” is a very inspiring story. Thank you, Mr. Koop, for sharing this with us.
