Why a book?

After enjoying an amazing life I have spent the last three years in a pitch battle with cancer. Osteo Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer that in my case is growing on the spine.

Despite early predictions to the contrary, I have survived. During this battle I have met many new people and learned many new things (much I wish I did not know). I have been blessed with a life that has offered more than anyone could ask for… so I have decided to share with you some of the things I have learned and much of the joy that I have been blessed with.

My hope at a minimum is that you will laugh (and sometimes cry) with me as I tell my story. But as you go through my life, page by page you will find that I have never been an “at the minimum” guy.

So in the spirit of clear and direct communication my true hope is that my story touches as many people as possible and that each person can somewhere in the pages find something that moves them. Moves them to make changes for the better, moves them to live their life to the fullest, moves them to embrace the personal relationships in their life.
